Industrial solar LED lighting trailers for remote, off-grid and zero-emission site lighting

MTGA’s solar LED lighting trailer range delivers industrial-grade off-grid site lighting for mining, construction, civil and defence operations. Every trailer in the range runs entirely on solar power and lithium battery storage, no diesel generator, no ongoing fuel cost, no exhaust emissions on site. The electrically operated mast extends at the push of a button, the sliding solar array deploys without pinch points, and one person can have a trailer fully operational in minutes.

For operations under emissions targets or working toward net zero, these are zero-emission lighting trailers with no compromise on output. For operations that simply want to cut the cost and complexity of diesel lighting, the economics are just as compelling.

Omni Lighting Trailers

The Omni is available as a 2-light or 4-light configuration depending on the coverage your site requires. Both run 12–14 hours a day in winter on solar and battery alone, with five days of battery redundancy keeping them live through extended overcast periods. Tow in, extend the mast, turn on, no setup complexity.

Which Lighting Trailer Suits Your Site?

All three models share the same solar-powered platform, no hydraulics, no generator, push-button mast, automatic light control via astronomical clock or photo sensor. The difference is light output, coverage area and how many lights you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a solar LED lighting trailer?
A solar LED lighting trailer is a self-contained, towable lighting unit that runs entirely on solar power and battery storage, no diesel generator, no grid connection, no fuel required. MTGA's lighting trailers use high-output LED lights mounted on an electric telescoping mast, charged by solar panels during the day and drawing from lithium battery storage at night. They're designed for remote and off-grid industrial sites where diesel lighting is impractical, expensive or prohibited by emissions requirements.
How long do the trailers run without sunlight?
The Omni range carries five days of battery redundancy. The Lux 2 and Lux 4 carry 45 hours of battery backup. All models are rated for 12–14 hours of daily runtime, covering a full shift and then some. On sunny days the solar array recharges the batteries during daylight hours, ready for the next night's use.
Are these genuinely zero emission, no generator at all?
Yes. Every trailer in the range runs entirely on solar and battery, there is no diesel generator on board. No exhaust, no fuel cost, no noise from a running engine. For operations under emissions targets or site rules that restrict generator use, these meet the requirement without any compromise on light output.
How does the mast work?
All models use an electrically operated mast that extends at the push of a button. There are no hydraulics to service or leak, and no technical expertise required for deployment. One person can extend the mast, deploy the solar panel array and have the trailer operational in minutes.
Can the lights be set to turn on and off automatically?
Yes. Every trailer in the range comes with a versatile light controller that supports manual operation, an astronomical clock (which turns lights on at dusk and off at dawn based on location and date) or a photo light sensor. This means the lights only run when needed, extending battery life and reducing unnecessary energy use.
What's the difference between the Omni and the Lux range?
The Omni is the higher-redundancy option, five days of battery backup makes it suited to extended remote deployments where the trailer may not be accessible for several days at a time. The Lux range runs a 45-hour battery and is better suited to sites with more regular access where daily solar recharging is reliable. Both deliver comparable light output in their respective 2-light and 4-light configurations.
What sites are these used on?
MTGA lighting trailers are used across mining, construction, civil engineering, agriculture, defence, infrastructure and event management. Any operation that needs reliable, mobile solar tower lights at a remote or off-grid location, from Pilbara mine sites to regional road construction projects.
Can I get a custom configuration?
Yes. Our in-house engineering team can adapt the lighting range to specific site requirements. Get in touch and describe what your operation needs.
