Self-Contained Heavy Vehicle Boom Gate Skid for Large-Scale Access Control

The MTGA HV Boom Gate Skid is a solar-powered, self-contained access control unit built to manage heavy vehicle traffic on mine sites and large commercial operations. Four 120Ah deep-cycle AGM batteries and a rotating 415W solar panel deliver six days of battery redundancy off-grid, enough to keep the gate operational for extended periods without attention. At approximately 1,000 kg with a ruggedised heavy-duty skid, it handles off-road conditions and repositions when site access requirements change.

Move it into position, turn it on, and you’re controlling traffic. Trigger it remotely by vehicle-mounted switch, key card or handheld fob. RFID automates access for registered vehicles, ultrasonic sensors handle detection, and the IP66-rated power cabinet and waterproof battery box keep the electronics protected from dust and moisture.

The 10m boom suits most heavy vehicle access points and dual-lane site entries. The 12m is the right call for wider haul roads, multi-lane entries or access points where extra clearance is needed for wide loads.
