Every MTGA product starts as a custom build. Our in-house engineering team designs and manufactures bespoke comms infrastructure for operations with power, environmental or communications requirements that fall outside what a standard product can deliver, built at our Perth workshop and backed by over 15 years of field-proven experience across mining, civil construction, agriculture and defence.

What We Can Customise

Power Output

From 60W to 4,000W+ continuous, specify exactly what your communications payload requires and we'll design the solar array, battery bank and redundancy configuration to match.

Battery Configuration & Redundancy

Days of battery redundancy, battery chemistry, capacity and charging profile, all configurable to your site's specific autonomy requirements and access constraints.

Mast Type & Height

Telescopic lattice, pneumatic or electric mast options from 8m to 50m+. Configured to the coverage area your communications hardware requires.

Communications Payload

LTE single or multi-sector, microwave backhaul, two-way radio, tetra/P25, Wi-Fi mesh, CCTV, GPS, specify the devices and network configuration your operation needs.

Environmental Specification

Standard range operates to +55°C. For sub-zero or extreme conditions, we engineer accordingly, including the Arctic Range for -40°C to +40°C operating requirements.

Housing & Skid Type

Towable trailer, relocatable skid, air-conditioned shelter or equipment hut, matched to how often the unit needs to move and what it needs to protect.

When Does a Custom Build Make Sense?

A custom solar-powered communications skid is the right solution when your site has requirements a standard product can't meet, specific power output thresholds, environmental conditions outside normal operating ranges, compliance specifications set by your company or principal contractor, or communications payloads that require a purpose-configured platform rather than an off-the-shelf unit.

How long does a custom solar-powered communications skid take to build?
Lead time depends on complexity and current workshop capacity. Simple modifications to an existing model are faster than a fully ground-up design. Once we've worked through your specification and provided a quote, we'll give you a realistic delivery timeline before anything is committed.
Is there a cost for the initial design?
No. MTGA offers a free high-level design service, we'll work through your requirements and come back with a proposed solution and indicative pricing before any commitment is made on either side.
Can you modify an existing product rather than build bespoke comms infrastructure from scratch?
Yes. Most custom builds start from an existing platform and are modified to meet your specific requirements. A full ground-up design is available where no existing platform is suitable.
Do you work to principal contractor or company specifications?
Yes. If your operation has a specific technical standard, compliance requirement or company specification the custom solar powered communications skid needs to meet, provide it at the start of the process and we'll design to it.
Can MTGA install and commission the build on site?
Yes. MTGA's installation and commissioning team can deliver, install and commission on site, and our maintenance and support services are available ongoing once operational.
