Mobile Series

Solar-powered mobile communications trailers for remote and off-grid site deployments

The MTGA Mobile Series is a range of solar-powered communications trailers engineered for remote and off-grid deployments where network coverage needs to follow the work. Every trailer in the range runs autonomously once deployed, no generator, no grid connection, no ongoing manual intervention. Solar panels and lithium battery storage keep the system running around the clock, with battery redundancy across the range providing multiple days of backup without sunlight.

All Mobile Series trailers are towable by light vehicle, ADR compliant and built to Australian standards for remote mining and heavy industry conditions.

110 Series Trailers & Skids

MTGA’s most compact and mobile communications unit. Built for smaller sites, exploration areas and rapid deployments where a lightweight footprint matters. One-person setup, five days battery redundancy, available as trailer or skid.

Learn More
  • Sliding solar panel array
  • 8m Innomast linear articulated mast
  • Fully custom designed headstock
  • Multiple hitch options
  • Up to 22.0 kWh battery capacity
  • Engineered ruggedised for off-road use
  • Separate power and communications cabinets
  • Supports 20-120W continuous power draw

200 Series Trailers & Skids

A step up in power with dual device support. Three solar panels deliver 100–150W and the unit runs two APs or devices simultaneously, for smaller operations with more demanding communications requirements.

Learn More
  • 3 panel sliding solar array
  • Supports 100-150W continuous power draw
  • Fully custom designed headstock
  • Engineered ruggedised for off-road use
  • Separate power and communications cabinets
  • Multiple hitch options
  • 8m Innomast linear articulated mast

250 Series Trailers & Skids

Four solar panels, seven days battery redundancy and support for multiple devices. Built for operations running complex communications across an entire site without generator backup.

  • Sliding solar panel array
  • 8m Innomast linear articulated mast
  • Multiple hitch options
  • Engineered ruggedised for off-road use
  • Separate power and communications cabinets
  • Supports 130-250W continuous power draw

300 Series Trailers & Skids

The most powerful towable trailer in the Mobile Series. Six solar panels deliver up to 350W continuous power, the highest output available in a unit still towable by a light vehicle under 2000 kg.

Which Mobile Series Trailer Suits Your Site?

All four trailers share the same core solar-powered platform and autonomous operation. The difference is payload capacity, power output and physical size, matched to the communications hardware your site requires and how often the unit needs to move.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a mobile communications trailer?
A mobile communications trailer is a self-contained, solar-powered unit that provides wireless network coverage on remote or off-grid sites. MTGA's Mobile Series trailers support Wi-Fi mesh, LTE 4G, two-way radio, tetra/P25 and more, towed into position by a light vehicle and operational without grid power or a generator.
How long can the trailers run without sunlight?
Depending on the model, between five and seven days. The 250 Series and Omni Series both carry seven days of battery redundancy at full load. The 110, 200 and 300 Series carry five days. All figures are at continuous rated power output.
Can the trailers be hired?
Yes. The Omni Series is available through the MTGA Hire, making it well suited to short-term projects, shutdown periods or operations with a tight procurement timeline. Get in touch to discuss availability and hire terms.
What's the difference between the Omni and the numbered series?
The numbered series (110 through 300) are custom-configured to your specifications, you specify the power output, mast type, devices and network setup, and MTGA engineers it to suit. The Omni arrives pre-configured and ready to connect from the moment it's on site. No lead time for custom engineering, no specification process, tow it in and you're online.
Can the trailers be towed by any vehicle?
All Mobile Series trailers are ADR compliant and towable by a light vehicle, with multiple hitch options to suit different setups. The 300 Series is the heaviest at approximately 1900kg, still within light vehicle towing capacity, but worth confirming against your specific vehicle's rated tow capacity before deployment.
What communications equipment can be installed?
MTGA trailers support a wide range of communications hardware including Wi-Fi mesh networks, LTE 4G/5G, two-way radio, tetra/P25, CCTV, GPS and more. For the numbered series, the specific devices and network configuration are chosen during the customisation process. The Omni arrives with communications pre-installed.
Are the trailers available as skids as well as trailers?
Yes. All numbered series models are available as either a towable trailer or a relocatable skid. Skids suit deployments where the unit stays in position for longer periods but still needs to shift occasionally, forklift-moveable and compact enough to be lifted onto a truck when required.
Can I get a custom build if nothing in the range is quite right?
Yes. MTGA's in-house engineering team can modify any model in the Mobile Series or design a solution from the ground up. Get in touch and describe what your operation needs to achieve.
